Professional blogs have become the
social media home base for businesses by providing affordable and intuitive
websites, bridging the gap between businesses and consumers, and establishing
trust and credibility for many companies (Weil, 2008). Most professional blogs are
cheap and easy to create, yet still versatile, without the hassle of normal
web sites (Alvi, 2010). Blogs aid in business and consumer interaction by enhancing existing relationships and creating a personal
connection (Li, 2004). Also, as businesses continue
to provide readers with truthful and credible information, they are viewed as
authority figures in their area of expertise (Li, 2004; Patel, 2012).
